Wayfair Nexus Update 9:00–9:50 a.m.
The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in the Wayfair case now allows taxing jurisdictions to impose an economic nexus test. Sellers of goods and services need to know whether they are subject to new sales tax collection and remittance obligations as well as economic nexus, which has reached other types of taxes. We will discuss how states are responding to the Wayfair decision and provide recommendations for how sellers and customers should evaluate their tax compliance options.
